Professor Wang Kefang is Giving Lectures to Members of Key Discipline of Nursing and Teachers and Students of Nursing School
In order to further consolidate the construction of the Discipline of Nursing, on July 4th, 2021, Professor Wang Kefang, Dean of School of Nursing and Rehabilitation of Shandong University, was invited to give a lecture in our university. Nearly 100 members of key discipline of nursing, key figures from disciplines of affiliated hospitals and graduate students majoring in nursing attended the lecture. Cao Shan, Dean of Nursing School, hosted the lecture.
Professor Wang kefang gave a special lecture on “Innovative Nursing Education in the New Era”. At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Wang made detailed study on "Healthy China 2030" Blueprint and the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan. In the light of the dynamic changing process of the Covid-19 epidemic and the new round of technological innovation, she elaborated the great potential of nursing in the new era. Professor Wang explained in detail the opportunities and challenges offered by the development of nursing during the period of the 14th Five Year Plan, and introduced how to cultivate nursing talents to meet the needs of the times and society from six aspects. Finally, by quoting Chinese classical culture, Professor Wang explained the role of teachers, and described the output oriented teaching design method and its teaching process through examples. She stressed that nursing education especially needed innovative development. It is necessary to change teaching ideas, innovate teaching methods, change teaching strategies, and deepen the coordination of nursing education and scientific and education. Throughout the lecture, Professor Wang's teaching was pragmatic, clear and active. She shared her teaching experience and understanding of the innovative development of future nursing education incisively and vividly, all the students had benefited a lot.
After the lecture, Cao Shan reviewed the contents explained by Professor Wang kefang, and encouraged each nursing educator to keep in mind the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating students, keep learning, constantly update educational ideas, improve the ability to educate and innovate, implement the glorious mission of teaching and educating, be a good guide for students and endeavor to reach new goals, so that the construction of first-class nursing specialty and the quality of talent training in our university would reach a new level.
Wang kefang, Dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Nursing and Rehabilitation of Shandong University, and Fellow of American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), is served as the leader of Gaofeng nursing discipline in Shandong Province, vice chairman of the Teaching Guide Committee of Nursing of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, and member of the Authentication Committee of Nursing Certification of the Ministry of Education. She has presided over more than 10 key projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Nature Fund, the Social Science Fund of the Ministry of Education, etc., she published more than 200 papers in high-level journals at home and abroad, including more than 40 papers included in SCI.
