SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION  

Henan University of Chinese Medicine launched the education for international students in 1993 as one of the first universities accredited by the Ministry of Education to recruit foreign students. It is an institution qualified for teaching the Chinese Government Scholarship and Henan Government Scholarship winners. It is also an international promotion base of traditional Chinese medicine, culture and health care, and an international inheriting base of Chinese minimally-invasive techniques as one of the internationally cooperated ‘One Belt One Road’ projects put forward by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as a branch of The World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies teaching centre and examination department.

At present, the School of International Education provides international students with undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctorate programs, short-term programs and Chinese language courses. It features a comprehensive study of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, regimen, martial arts, Zen meditation, etc. The students mainly come from South Korea, Canada, Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hungary, Austria, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, Japan, Germany, Chile, Uruguay, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and other countries.

 

The School of International Education has repeatedly won the title of "Advanced Group for Overseas Student Education and Administration in China". In 2013, it was the only TCM university to participate in the national final of "China Exploration – Sunshine Sports and Culture Journey for International Students" hosted by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
