On the afternoon of September 22nd, 2020, Professor Sun Sulun, former Director of the Department of Medical Administration of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was invited to give a lecture at Scholar Forum of our university. Nearly 100 people listened to the lecture.

Before the lecture, a speech was delivered to the forum, thenProfessor Sun was announced visiting professor of our university, and was issued an appointment certificate.

Professor Sun began his lecture by explaining "how to cultivate scientific research ideas" and "how to improve scientific research ability". He pointed out that many people have misunderstandings about scientific research and think that they can only do scientific research when they apply for one. This is a wrong idea. It doesn’t require a project to do a scientific research. Questions found in clinical practice, data collection, summary and statistical analysis are all forms of scientific research. Young people should make full use of the opportunity to lay a solid foundation for applying for high-standard projects in the future. In order to improve scientific research ability, it is necessary to discover scientific problems, design scientific research projects, organize the implementation of scientific research projects, conclude the achievements and transform to application. After the lecture, teachers and students of our university had an in-depth exchange with Professor Sun on the problems they encountered in scientific research.

This lecture is rich in content, and very practical, which has played a guiding role in improving the scientific research directions and abilities of teachers and students in our university, and is warmly welcome by teachers and students alike.
