On May 31th, 2019, Associate Professor Orthopedist Dr. Mark and his team from Orlando Hospital, Florida, US came to the second affiliated hospital to have an academic exchanging with joint surgery.
Vice President Zhu Guang from the second affiliated hospital expressed welcome on behalf of the hospital to Mark and his team, both parties introduced the development of the Joint Department from the second affiliated hospital and that of Orlando Hospital. Afterwards, the Chief Director of the Joint Department from the second affiliated hospital Professor Wang Shangzeng made ward rounds with Mark. After examining several patients with hip and knee arthroplasty, and understanding the condition and viewing the surgery video, the American experts had spoken highly of the second affiliated hospital, and thought that the level of our surgical skill had almost in parallel to the top technology of the world.
After ward round, Dr. Mark and Professor Wang Shangzeng collaborated as a team to perform knee arthroplasty to a patient.
