Our Universitybeing elected as chairman of the Union of Popular Science Education Base in Henan Province
On November 13, 2018, this year's Henan Union Conference of Popular Science Education Base was held in Zhengzhou. Members in charge of Henan Association of Science and Technology, provincial and municipal Associations of Science and Technology, provincial and national bases of popular science education and some provincial bases of popular science education participated in the meeting. Xu Jiangyan, member of the Party Committee and vice-president of our school, and Li Dongyang, director of the Science and Technology Department of our school, attended the meeting. Yang Jinhe, deputy inspector of the Provincial Association of Science and Technology, attended the meeting and made a speech.
At the meeting, the leading body of the third Henan Provincial Union Council of Popular Science Education Base was elected. Our school was elected as the chairman of the alliance, five units such as Henan Geological Museum was elected as the vice-chairmen, 18 provincial and municipal science associations and 27 provincial national science popularization education bases were elected as the standing director units of the alliance, and 247 provincial science popularization education bases were elected as the Council units of the alliance.
Popular Science Education Base of Henan Province is a social public welfare cooperative organization which is composed of the whole province (part) public-oriented organizations to carry out public welfare science popularization activities. Its purpose is to serve the governing units of the alliance, exchange science popularization experience and market information, promote horizontal cooperation, and further form a benign interactive opportunity for the widespread participation of society in science popularization system.
