From October 20 to 27, 2018, the 7th Paralympic Games of Henan Province was held in Zhoukou, Henan. Yu Yanan, a student from Class 3, 2015 ofAcupuncture and Massage College in HUCM, took part in swimming competitions and won three gold medals in 50 meter breaststroke, 50 meterfreestyle and 200 meter freestyle, which showed the good spirit of our students and won the honor for HUCM.
After the game, Yu Yanan said in an interview of the news media that swimming has completed her incomplete life. Even without legs, the "road" in future is very broad and long. The support and help of university, Acupuncture and Massage College and Department of Physical Teaching and Research will be the strongest support on her “road”. She will make more efforts to stand at a higher starting point, stay true to her mission to move forward, sprint to the next goal of life with her practical actions, win glories for her university, college, family and herself and pass on love to more people.
The Paralympic Games of Henan, held every four years, is the largest, and most influential comprehensive sports event with highest level for disabled people in Henan Province. There were 964 athletesin various competitions this year.
