The Initiation Ceremony
On the morning of October 10, 2018, the initiation ceremony of the assistance project sponsored by Changjia Fund, HUCM (Henan University of Chinese Medicine) education development foundation was held in the first lecture hall of the university library. Lu Donglin, deputy director-general of Henan Provincial Office of Poverty Alleviation, Li Hongjun, director of the division of Poverty Alleviation, Zhang Jianfeng, deputy director-general of the Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhang Wenhao, vice chairman of the Changjia Group and president of the Changjia Capital Operation Group, leaders of the university, representatives of recipients from poor-stricken counties such as Lushi, Zhenping and Neixiang, relieved representatives from the primary-level units, representatives of the medias, teachers and students, and heads of relevant functional departments attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Lixia, the deputy secretary of the party committee of HUCM.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the publicity video of the HUCM was played. Bie Ronghai, secretary of the party committee of HUCM, pointed out in the speech that the project is jointly sponsored by the university and the Changjia Group, aiming to enhance the primary-level medical services, promote the health of people in the Central Plains, and help people get rid of poverty through the development of multiple projects. The university will always carry out the poverty alleviation work with a high sense of responsibility and a strong sense of mission to help the cause of Henan's precision poverty relief. Based on the existing experiences, the university will take the assistance project as an opportunity to give full play to the resource advantages in talent training, scientific research, medical services, cultural heritage and innovation, etc., promote the development of various types of assistance projects actively, regulate the use of Changjia Fund, and accurately ensure that the poverty alleviation achieves good results.
On behalf of the Changjia Group and Chairman Zhao Changjia, the president Zhang Wenhao gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of the Changjia Group and explained the origin, content and operation mechanism of the "Changjia Foundation". He said that Chairman Zhao Changjia always cares about his alma mater and the construction and development of the industry of Chinese medicine. The assistance project is not only a concrete measure to implement the strategy of the national precision poverty alleviation, but also the consistent aim of the Changjia Group. It aims to improve the level of the primary medical care, to enable more people to enjoy better medical services, and to contribute to reducing the number of people suffering from poverty or returning to poverty due to illness.
In the speech, the representative of the relieved counties, the standing committee member of the County Party Committee and the deputy county head Guo Weiling briefly introduced the basic situation of Lushi County's situation and poverty relief work, and expressed the strong desire to further strengthen the contact and exchange with our school, hoping to enhance the happiness of the local people with the foundation's help.
As a representative of the primary-level unit, Wang Jianjun, the village head of Pichong Village of Gushi County, introduced the precise assistance provided by the school to the Pichong village in the past five years and the earth-shaking changes that took place in the village. He said that it will take concrete actions to ensure that the poverty relief will achieve good results and reward the support and help of the school and Changjia Group.
In his speech, the deputy director Lu Donglin briefly introduced the significance of poverty relief work and the overall situation of poverty relief work in Henan province. He pointed out that accelerating the promotion of health and poverty relief is an inevitable requirement for promoting the construction of a healthy China and building a well-off society in an all-round way. The "National Medicine Poverty Relief Project" is a concrete practice in which the joint ventures of higher education institutions of Chinese medicine take the advantages of talents, technology and capital, and participate in healthy China, precise poverty relief and rural revitalization strategies. He hopes that more universities, research institutes, caring enterprises and caring people will join the team of poverty relief and work together to shoulder the glorious mission of winning the battle against poverty through the new era, and complete the important task of the Central Plains in the new era.
