On March 27, 2018, the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council issued the Notice of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council on Issues of Approving the List of Doctoral and Master Degree Authorization Added in 2017 (Degree [2018] No.9). Our university has authorized the doctorate degree of Chinese Medicine, the first-class master degree of medical technology and nursing, and authorized the master degree of public administration. A total of one doctoral degree authorization, two master first-class degree authorization points, and one master degree authorization have been added.
According to the relevant documents of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council and the Academic Degree Committee of Henan Province, the leaders of our university have attached great importance to the review of the degree authorization, and have conducted a overall plan from the overall layout of degree authorization, the selection of key teachers, and the determination of subject teachers. The Graduate School has organized a coordination meeting for many times, and various schools and disciplines have repeatedly demonstrated and collaborated to guarantee the declaration of the degree authorization.
The degree authorization review carried out smoothly, which is the result of high attention, correct decision-making, and scientific coordination. It is also the result of long-term adherence to the construction of academic disciplines and the active construction of academic degrees. It also expands our graduate student training on the disciplines and fields of specialization, optimize the graduate training structure, and better satisfy the economic and social development of Henan Province to provide favorable conditions for the demand of high-level applied talents.
It is reported that all units that have achieved degree authorization in the country have attached great importance to the verification of degree authorization this time. Therefore, there are many units in this review work, and the competition is fierce and cruel. Our university has made breakthroughs by carefully preparation, coordination and scientifically advances. In the next step, the graduate school will sum up experience, standardize the system of management, improve requirements, and solidly promote the construction and evaluation of degree authorization.
